Vung Tau Blue and White Porcelain Bowl

Blue and white bowl of lobed form, retrieved from the Vũng Tàu shipwreck, decorated with panels of flowers and foliage.
The Vũng Tàu wreck dates back to 1690 and is believed to have been bound for Batavia where the bulk of the ceramics were supposed to be transhipped to a Dutch East India Company ship for transport to Holland.
