Box of German Washblue Ultramarine Works in Balls

A box of laundry blue balls manufactured to make yellow, discoloured textiles appear whiter. The product uses synthetic ultramarine pigment as its blueing agent.


On the left and right sides of the box, labels advertise how the company was awarded a gold medal in the Paris international exhibition (Exposition Universelle) of 1867.
