Vung Tau Blue and White Porcelain Miniature Vase

A miniature blue and white porcelain vase decorated with hand-painted floral scroll and lotus petal base. This piece was recovered from the Vũng Tàu shipwreck.
The Vũng Tàu wreck dates back to 1690 and is believed to have been bound for Batavia where the bulk of the ceramics were supposed to be transshipped to a Dutch East India Company ship for transport to Holland.
