Under Kimono (Nagajuban) with Sparrow and Tea Utensils Design

An indigo-blue under-kimono (nagajuban) featuring katazome (stencilled resist-dye) motifs of sparrows in flight above a field of autumn flowers and grasses on the pale-blue main body. The lower panels and front opening hems are adorned with tea-ceremony utensils on a darker blue ground, and the garment is fully lined in rich red fabric.
