An albumen photograph of an ornamented camel ridden by an Egyptian drummer by the Egyptian-based Armenian photographer, Gabriel Lekegian.


This camel was part of an extensive traditional Egyptian wedding procession performed during the 1983 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, United States. A section of the World's Fair's anthropological section was the so-called Cairo Street, a recreation of a street of old Cairo populated by Native Egyptians brought to perform folk celebrations.
